Treasures of Mr. Araku our Arabica coffee from Araku Valley, nestled in the Eastern Ghats of India. Grown at elevations of approximately 900–1,300 metres, the coffee develops in cool hill conditions, mineral-rich red soils, and generous monsoon rainfall. This environment encourages slower cherry maturation, allowing flavours to evolve with depth, balance, and quiet elegance.

What makes Araku Valley truly special is its community-driven, non-industrial approach to coffee cultivation. Much of the coffee here is grown by indigenous tribal farmers using traditional, shade-grown practices, often intercropped with pepper, fruit trees, and native forest cover. Chemical inputs are minimal, biodiversity is preserved, and the result is coffee that reflects both place and people.

In the cup, Treasures of Mr. Araku is smooth, comforting, and refined, offering gentle caramel sweetness, soft cocoa notes, mild fruit brightness, and a rounded, harmonious finish. The acidity is restrained, the body silky, and the overall profile calm and approachable—well suited to filter brewing and for those who appreciate balance over intensity.

This coffee is available as freshly roasted whole beans or ground precisely to your brewing preference. When grinding is chosen, it is done in small batches on the day of delivery, using precision German machinery to preserve aroma, structure, and flavour integrity.

We recommend buying only what you need for the week. Freshly roasted coffee gradually loses its aromatic complexity when exposed to air, light, heat, and moisture. Factory-made coffee—often roasted and ground weeks or months in advance—cannot match the vibrancy or nuance of coffee prepared thoughtfully in small batches.
